【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcovershigh-strengthlow-alloynickel,copper,phosphorussteelH-pilesandsheetpilingofstructuralqualityforuseintheconstructionofdockwalls,seawalls,bulkheads,excavations,andlikeapplicationsinmarineenvironments.1.2Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthissteelissubstantiallybetterthanthatofordinarycarbonsteelswithorwithoutcopperaddition(seeNote1).Thesteelhasalsoshowntohavesubstantiallygreaterresistancetoseawater"SplashZone"corrosionthanordinarycarbonsteel(SpecificationsA36/A36MandA328/A328M)whereexposedtothewashingactionofrainandthedryingactionofthewindorsun,orboth.Wherethesteelisnotboldlyexposed,theusualprovisionsfortheprotectionofordinarycarbonsteelshouldbeconsidered.Note0Formethodsofestimatingatmosphericcorrosionresistanceoflow-alloysteels,seeGuideG101.1.3Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthataweldingproceduresuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
