【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoestablishameasureofresistanceforwindowassembliessubjectedtoattacks(otherthanimpactingglazingmaterials)byunskilledoropportunisticburglars.Resistancetohigherlevelsofforcegeneratedbyskilledburglaryattackrequiresmethodssuchasalarms,communication,orapprehensionsystems,orspecialsecurityglazingmaterialsmoresophisticatedthanthoseevaluatedbythesetestmethods.Entrythroughawindowassemblycanbeaccomplishedbyimpactingtheglazingmaterials.Thismethoddoesnotevaluateglazingmaterialsforbreakage.Otherstandardsmustbeusedtoevaluateforcedentrybyimpactingtheglazing.Acceptancecriteriaforperformancelevelsareamatterforauthoritieshavingspecificjurisdictiontoestablish.SuggestedguidelinesarefoundinAnnexA1.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheabilityofwindowassembliesofvarioustypestorestrain,delay,orfrustrateforcedentry.1.2Forpurposesofthesetestmethods,windowassembliesaredefinedasdescribedin1.2.1-1.2.5andasshowninFig.1.Windowassemblieswithacombinationofoperablesashandfixedpanes(lites)shallbeclassifiedandtestedseparatelyforeachtype.1.2.1TypeA8212;Awindowassemblywhichincorporatesoneormoresashthatopenbysliding,eitherverticallyorhorizontallywithintheplaneofthewall.1.2.2TypeB8212;Awindowassemblywhichincorporatesoneormoresashthatarehingedatorneartwocornersofthesashandthatopentowardtheexterior(outswinging)ortowardtheinterior(inswinging).1.2.3TypeC8212;Awindowassemblywhichincorporatesoneormoresashthatarepivotedsothatpartofthesashopenstowardtheinteriorandpartofitopenstowardtheexterior.1.2.4TypeD8212;Awindowassemblywhichincorporatesoneormorefixedpanes(lites)orstationarysashthataredesignednottoopen.1.2.5TypeE8212;Awindowassemblywhichincorporatesaseriesofoverlappinghorizontallouversthatarepivotedsimultaneouslybyacommonactuatorsothatthebottomedgeofeachlouverswingsoutwardandthetopedgeswingsinwardduringoperation.Note18212;SeeFig.1forgraphicdepictionofwindowassemblytypes.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
