【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforelectrodeposited(electroplated)coatingsoftinappliedtometallicarticles.Tincoatingsareusedtoprovidealowcontact-resistancesurface,toprotectagainstcorrosion(see1.2),tofacilitatesoldering,toprovideanti-gallingproperties,andtobeastopoffcoatinginthenitridingofhigh-strengthsteels.1.2Somecorrosioncanbeexpectedfromtincoatingsexposedoutdoors.Innormalindoorexposure,tinisprotectiveoniron,steel,nickel,copper,andtheiralloys.Corrosioncanbeexpectedatdiscontinuitiesinthecoating(suchaspores)duetogalvaniccouplesformedbetweenthetinandtheunderlyingmetalthroughthediscontinuities,especiallyinhumidatmospheres.Porosityincreasesasthecoatingthicknessdecreases,sothatminimumthicknessesmustbespecifiedforeachapplication.Partscoatedwithtincanbeassembledsafelyincontactwithironandsteel,tin-coatedaluminum,yellowchromatedzinc,cadmium,andsoldercoatings.(SeeX5.2foroxidationandcorrosionproperties.)1.3Thisspecificationappliestoelectroplatedcoatingsofnotlessthan99%tin(exceptwheredeliberatelyalloyedforspecialpurposes,asstatedinX6.3)obtainedfromanyoftheavailabletinelectroplatingprocesses(see4.3).1.4Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytohot-dippedtinorothernon-electrodepositedcoating;italsodoesnotapplytomillproducts.Formillproducts,refertoSpecificationsA623orA623M.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Althoughinfraredimagingsystemshavethepotentialtodeterminemanyfactorsconcerningthethermalperformanceofawall,roof,floor,orceiling,theemphasisinthispracticeisondeterminingwhetherinsulationismissingorwhetheraninsulationinstallationismalfunctioning.Anomalousthermalimagesfromotherapparentcausesmayalsoberecordedassupplementalinformation,eventhoughtheirinterpretationmayrequireproceduresandtechniquesnotpresentedinthispractice.1.1Thispracticeisaguidetotheproperuseofinfraredimagingsystemsforconductingqualitativethermalinspectionsofbuildingwalls,ceilings,roofs,andfloors,framedinwoodormetal,thatmaycontaininsulationinthespacesbetweenframingmembers.Thisprocedureallowsthedetectionofcavitieswhereinsulationmaybeinadequateormissingandallowsidentificationofareaswithapparentlyadequateinsulation.1.2Thispracticeoffersreliablemeansfordetectingsuspectedmissinginsulation.Italsooffersthepossibilityofdetectingpartial-thicknessinsulation,improperlyinstalledinsulation,orinsulationdamagedinservice.Proofofmissinginsulationoramalfunctioningenveloperequiresindependentvalidation.Validationtechniques,suchasvisualinspectionorin-situR-valuemeasurement,arebeyondthescopeofthispractice.1.3Thispracticeislimitedtoframeconstructioneventhoughthermographycanbeusedonallbuildingtypes.,1.4Instrumentationandcalibrationrequiredunderavarietyofenvironmentalconditionsaredescribed.Instrumentationrequirementsandmeasurementproceduresareconsideredforinspectionsfrombothinsideandoutsidethestructure.Eachvantagepointoffersvisualaccesstoareashiddenfromtheotherside.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Inparticular,cautionshouldbetakeninthehandlingofanycryogenicliquidsorpressurizedgasesrequiredforuseinthispractice.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote1andNote3.
