【摘要】:ThispartofIEC62150specifiestestandmeasurementproceduresforrelativeintensitynoise(RIN).Itappliestolasers,lasertransmitters,andthetransmitterportionoftransceivers.Thisprocedureexamineswhetherthedeviceormodulesatisfiestheappropriateperformancespecification.Theprocedureisapplicabletosinglelongitudinalmode(SLM).Anoptionalsectionoftheprocedurepresentsacontrolledreturnlosstothedevice-under-test,butisonlyapplicabletodevicescoupledtoSMF.Themethoddescribedinthisstandard,usingatime-domaindetectionsystem,providesasinglevalueforRINthataveragesthenoiseoverthetransmissionbandwidth.ThemeasurementismadeonamodulatedlasercapturingtheRINvalueundernormaloperatingconditions.ItalsomeasuresRINOMA,analternativedefinition,asdescribedinIEEE802.3-2005.AnalternativeRINmeasurementmethodusesaphotoreceiverandelectricalspectrumanalyzerandprovidesRINvs.electricalfrequency.ThismethodprovidesaRINvalueaveragedoverparticularelectricalbanddeterminedbyafilter.Forafilterbandwidthandcharacteristicthatduplicatesthefilteringinatransmissionsystem,thistechniqueprovidesaresultthatisappropriatetodeterminethenoiseforsuchasystem.
